Chris Cornell-Like a Stone-Unplugged in Sweden-with lyrics - Video
PUBLISHED:  Feb 12, 2011
DESCRIPTION:
The song is about sitting in an empty house watching the people you are close to dying around you and waiting for your turn. He also believes that heaven is what you make it so the place where you are happiest is the place you wish to go when you die. Chris Cornell explains that "It's a song about concentrating on the afterlife you would hope for, rather than the normal monotheistic approach: You work really hard all your life to be a good person and a moral persona and fair and generous, and then you go to hell anyway." Tim Commerford claims that the song is about an old man waiting for death, who sits in a house alone after all his friends and family have passed on, waiting to be reunited with them. Lyrics are taken from ChrisCornell.com and what he actually sings in the acoustic versions of this song. Such as: "to the pagans or anyone"("Like a pagan to anyone") and " for all the things I've done" (" Of all the things I've done") Lastly I used creative license to use, The Tibetan Book Of The Dead, because this book resonates within me, as much as this song does. Thank you Chris Cornell, Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk.
