DESCRIPTION:
Bulldozers and diggers began carving a path towards a refugee camp in Calais on Monday, after police told refugees and migrants living there to move into new housing so the original camp could be destroyed.
Many of the inhabitants of the refugee camp have already moved into 125 homes formed from converted shipping containers in an area adjacent to the camp. However, over 1,500 refugees have refused to move on the basis that they have not been consulted on the matter.
