Speed of Sight is a song I wrote as a dedication to Nelson Mandela in 1990. This video features news footage from Nelson Mandella's Release from prison... Many of us were pretty excited about his release, except a few folks took issue with me, writing letters and calling for my expulsion from college over it (I still have one of the letters in a file drawer someplace). But to this day, while I am proud to have stood up for freedom and equality in the face of persecution- it was NOTHING compared to what he experienced... I am blessed to have been able to see such a life changing event take place.
