CINDY BERNADETTE

Cindy Bernadette, a female singer born in Bandung West Java Indonesia was once introduced to music at the age of 5 when she studied classical piano. Knowing her interest was not there, she finally found it in singing and started to sing her heart out loud at the age of 11 when she first joined her school and church choir.



Never took any vocal lesson in her life, she was discovered by a producer in New York, Michael Earl Stewart, when she was 19 and became a lead singer for an R&B group called New Voices. Shortly after the tragedy of 9/11 she left New York and with her endless efforts of continuing her singing career she returned home and got herself signed by Sony Music Indonesia in 2003. The first big break was to feature at “Katakan Dengan Cinta” with a group called The Groove in 2005.



Her first album “CINDY” was released in 2006. During that period one of the song in the album “Berpesta” got a contract with a national bank (BANK MANDIRI) for a visa commercial. Her first single was a duet with Glenn Fredly, one of the most talented male singer & composer in Indonesia, the song called “Rintangan”.



Longing to find her true self in music she decided to quit the major label contract and her second album “WISH NO 1” was released in 2007 under an independent recording label called X RECORDS. 99% of the songs were composed by her and arranged by her and her personal band called The Players. The first single “Nikmati Saja Berdua” was a major hit for weeks at most national radios.



This year 2009, she is coming back as a songwriter; producer and composer with a different sound and a more mature vocal composition which she arranged herself to mesmerize us once again. This album came from her heart, her soul and her life, as she always believed and encourage us to pick ourselves up after each falls. It’s Cindy Bernadette, as she “RISE AND SHINE”.
