Presentation of the new album - Ôm Project - of Christophe Wallemme to be released 2017 may 5th

Co-funder of the cult trio Prysm in 1994 (5 albums released including 4 for the label Blue Note), Christophe Wallemme has subsequently release 3 albums (Time zone, Namaste, So Many Ways) as a lead artist, inspired par his numerous travels and specially a long stay of five years in India.

With Ôm Project, his fourth opus, Christophe Wallemme unveils a new bright side of his personality, which is the fruit of a long work he started two years ago that gave rise to new compositions with a startling rock & Jazz sound of the seventies.

In this regard, Christophe Wallemme stated: « It seemed to me essential to point in this new project my influences linked to this musical period. The challenge for me was to be able to create new original compositions taking into account all components of my inspirations, without falling into a patchwork of different styles. I like to say that this album a rock- jazz sound rather than a jazz-rock one ».

Then, Ôm Project is a very personal and elegant invitation, which reflects the co-existence of those different musical genres, percussive and melodic, sometimes tainted with Indian musical fragrances.

In order to give birth to this project, Christophe Wallemme welcomed the participation of fantastic and established musicians:
