Alabama Music Office.com goes to Marriott Shoals Conference Center in Florence, Alabama to attend a performance by Christine Ohlman, a Tribute to Jerry Wexler, for W.C. Handy 2013. This was a great show with special guest Bonnie & Bekka Bramlett, Jerry's son Paul Wexler, Scott Boyer and Donnie Fritts. A who's who of Muscle Shoals musicians which included N.C. Thurman, Spooner Oldham, Kelvin Holly, Ed King, David Hood, Mike Dillon, Will McFarland, Jimmy Johnson, Wayne Chaney, Steve Bassett, Marie Lewey and Cindy Richardson.
Christine Ohlman is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, recording artist, music scholar. Her nickname "The Beehive Queen" refers to her distinctive platinum beehive. Christine became the lead vocalist for the Saturday Night Live Band in 1991.
