Should we ever be ashamed of, or feel guilty about loving?
Declaring ones love is often like stripping oneself bare, truly exposing oneself. Naked in front of the other person, we feel vulnerable because we are revealing that which is most valuable to us and for this reason we are afraid...afraid to receive a blow to those very nerves we exposed, throwing mud at all that is dear to us. 
Anyone with a heart understands what I am talking about...paradoxically, fear, shame, embarrassment and apprehension are feelings that often arise when one wants to declare the most beautiful and purest sentiments of all: love.
Doesn't that seem ridiculous? Feeling embarrassed of the very thing for which a human being should be the most proud of: falling in love!

The problems start when the mind begins to respond to our heart...asking questions and voicing concerns; it questions whether that love is fair, appropriate, functional...when the entire time, our heart knows that love is love, it has no doubts.

Perhaps the only real problem is when it is not returned.
But, at this point we must ask ourselves: is it worth trying? In my opinion: yes. Certainly it is.
The thing stopping us could be embarrassment or, even worse, shame.
But, how could we ever be ashamed of loving?

"Say Something" forces us to look the other person straight in the face and declare all our love, encouraging them to say something, to give us an answer, which perhaps may never come, and at that point let them go...but we will be at peace with ourselves because at least we will not have denied our hearts.

Dovremmo mai vergognarci o sentirci in colpa di amare?

Dichiarare il proprio amore é spesso come spogliarsi, rivelarsi davvero per la prima volta e rimanere nudi difronte all'altro, ci sentiamo vulnerabili perché mostriamo ciò che per noi é più prezioso e per questo abbiamo paura... paura che ci possano colpire proprio su quei nervi scoperti, gettando fango su quello che per noi ha tanto valore.
Chiunque abbia un cuore capisce di cosa sto parlando… paradossalmente paura, vergogna, imbarazzo, timore sono sentimenti che spesso insorgono quando si vuole dichiarare il più bello e il più puro dei sentimenti: l’amore.
Non vi sembra ridicolo? Vergognarsi della cosa più bella per cui l’essere umano dovrebbe andare più fiero in assoluto!

I problemi iniziano quando la mente incomincia a rispondere al nostro cuore… incomincia a porsi domande, dubbi, si chiede se quell’amore sia giusto, appropriato, funzionale… quando invece il nostro cuore sa che l’amore è quella cosa lì, non ha dubbi.

Forse l’unico vero problema è quando non viene ricambiato.
Ma a quel punto chiediamoci se ne valga la pena provarci. Secondo me si. Certamente si.
Forse a frenarci è sempre quel maledetto imbarazzo o peggio la vergogna.
Ma come potremmo mai vergognarci di amare?

“Say Something” ci costringe a guardare in faccia l’altra persona, dichiarandole tutto il nostro amore, spronandola a dirci qualcosa, a darci una risposta che forse non arriverà mai e a quel punto dovremo lasciarla andare… ma saremo in pace con noi stessi perché non avremo negato nulla al nostro cuore.
