Wanted to share with you all a recent discovery/passion of mine: Chris McGregor and his various incarnations of South African jazz groups such as the Blue Notes, Brotherhood of Breath, etc. Unbelievable to me how little recognition these groups have gotten, comparatively speaking, due to the outstanding music they've left for us and the many influences each of the members have gone on to leave for the rest of the jazz community.
