Originally from St. Louis, MO, I grew up around music and have spent almost every weekend of my life since the age of six performing around my hometown, church, and traveling groups. I met with Doug Howard at Lyric Street Records in July of 2003, and he convinced me to move to Nashville.so that's exactly what I did. I left my home, family and friends and pulled into town more than five years ago now to follow this amazing dream. I love to sing and perform, and on stage with a full band is where I have always felt that feeling of satisfaction that only a musician can truly understand. Since moving to Nashville, however, I have found my new love in songwriting. It's something about working with the emotion and the lyrics and trying to focus on chasing that perfect word or phrase to say what I want to say.it's amazing! I have recently had the opportunity to write with some incredible songwriters who have hits to their names. It has been an honor to learn and develop great friendships with the amazing talent in this town.



I began working on a plan in late 2006 to open my own music venue for songwriters and that has recently come to a reality. I partnered up with my buddy, Mark Craven, and together we opened up The Listening Room Cafe in downtown Nashville. Since we opened the doors on September 11, 2008, we have already had the great pleasure of having the most developed songwriters in Nashville play our place. Thanks to Tony Mullins, Bob DiPeiro, Aaron Barker, Brady Seals, Chris Wallin, Rivers Rutherford, Brian White, etc. for helping support us and making this dream a reality! Other than music, I enjoy all of my very close friends and family. I miss my brother, Drew, and my parents in St. Louis more than they know. It's hard to walk away from everyone who has always been there to pursue this crazy dream of mine - but I'm blessed to have their continued love and support. I am a graduate from Southeast Missouri State University where I was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and created many great memories.



Since moving to Nashville, I'd have to say some of the best times had have been heading out to see my friends play great music, sitting in writing rooms creating 3 minute stories, and becoming great friends with those in this industry I used to look up to.yeah, after I became friends with them I don't look up to them anymore. Kidding! Y'all are great and I appreciate the continued teachings and encouragement you give me every day!
