Choinure Boys

The group was formed in Fukuoka, Japan in 2004 and has been performing

actively at various venues and on the streets.

Their musical focus is mainly American popular music in the 50s such as jazz, jive, western swing,blues, hilbilly and jug. However, their have the ability to combine those styles and create their own sound.

In 2007, their first album "Swingin' AndTruckin'" was released has been selling continuously.



The name of the group "CHOINURE BOYS" comes from the famous character "The Soggy Bottom Boys" of the hit movie "O Brother".

The Japanese word"CHOINURE" means in a bit funny way, being a little wet as opposed to be soggy.

So the name has a hidden meaning that they are maybe not making a crazy hit right now but really being focued on what they do putting much effort into their music, and one day they will make a hit.
