Lyrics:
Taesan the bass san, what are we gonna do?
I like Taesan almost as much as you,
Almost as much as a brew with my crew, or fondue
Almost as much as a gnu that escaped from the zoo
But not as much as Em, they started off friends
It was cool and it wasn't all pretend, then
Taesan stepped up with his serenade marinade
There and played, til it undid the barricade

So how did this boy go from a child to a man?
From a scrawny little tyke to gargantuan?
Half American and half from Japan
Let's start our little story from a plot of wooded land

Deep in the forest, with many a tree
Taesan Daniel Hose was born in 1983
On August 6 so make no mistake
The number one hit was Every Breath You Take
By the Police out East with the Empire State Building
The youngest of 5 with his entire state chillin'
But sometimes his brothers act an irrate villain
How does it feel? asked my man Bob Dylan

It wasn't always easy as the last of the crop
Used to bug him so hard he'd wanna call the cops
A little provocation and I'd club him with a pillow
But once we got exhausted it was time to watch Willow
The kid had a brain so sharp it could kill
He taught me that whales eat small fish and krill
And then to entertain us and put us in a trance
He learned from Labyrinth how to do the magic dance
The Last Unicorn was always on the list
We had to turn our heads every time someone kissed
And then there was Tron vs. the MCP and Sark
By the way I'm half Japanese, but no Linkin Park

Next up, we found ourselves driving cross country
Tae had turned 9 and the girls were wearing scrunchies
We ended up in Bellevue after the ride
Sporting bowl cuts with no hair on the side
But the Hose boys were shy when it came to the ladies
We feared the most high would then send us to Hades
So Tae knew he had to go off on his own
To find himself a girl who in her heart he'd call home

At the U dub, Taesan straight rocked all his classes
You could call him a nerd, but he didn't wear glasses
In fact he was jacked but also really nice
A killer combination like bulgogi on rice
Enter Emily Slack from the land of Vashon
Who giggled like a child plus adorned the fashion
Tae took notice and he said, "Hey Josh,
Check out the honey in the OshKosh B'Gosh"

It didn't take long for their very first kiss, see
Followed by ultimately throwing some frisbees
Jamming on 6 strings, the other on 4
The devil went down to Georgia, on the opposite shore
So for years it seemed that they were peas in a pod
Then one day Tae called me at work, kinda odd
He said hello, tried to take it slow
But then came the tears as he just let go

He needed to pick up the Slack, who was on the attack
Cuz she felt something was missing and she needed him to act
He saw the red door and she wanted to paint it black
He cried "What can I do to get my baby back?!"
What was I to say except consider moving on?
And that would have very well been the end to this song
But Tae convinced her, he'd step it up for real
And that Thanksgiving, tears of joy fell in her meal

Their bond grew stronger as they moved in together
They knew this was big and it might mean forever
Through it, I saw Tae became a real man
Like when he told her, "Guess what? We're going to Thailand"
So glad to have Emily as part of the fam
She contributed so much even before he took her hand
And Taesan, my brother sharing rooms as a youth
I love you dearly that's God's honest truth.
