This was not just a band. It was True Real Metal incarnate. It was the embodiment of loud power chords and squealing high hat kicks. It was like that smelly old sock puppet you kept under your bed; it seemed to be inanimate, but you knew it was secretly telling you to blow things up.

Children of Nar formed in 1985 (give or take twenty years) and recorded so many classic heavy metal albums, they promptly lost track of them and at times wondered if they indeed recorded anything. Eventually it was discovered that they recorded a split LP (Global Assault) and a full-length demo (Nar Birth). They also kept on playing at this one venue in Ardmore. Those were the days.

Though the band is done the music is not. KMX continues to play many Children of Nar standards in his quote-unquote solo band. Sir Andrew Aguecheek continues to mime along to most of his bass lines while he is in the shower. And Loin Cloth continues to wear a cloth made of loins.
