A homage to one of my most favourite artists in the dance scene. I've been a fan, from literally day 1, since I first heard an awesome piano house track called 'Right here, right now', with Nick going under the name of Disco Citizens. 'Offshore' soon followed under the name Chicane and ever since, I've been hooked.

This particular mix was recorded back in 2000 using vinyl only. Although I had Chicane's albums and singles recorded onto tape, none were mixed. So I put together a selection of tracks ranging from originals to remixes (the Disco Citizen remixes were always the best) and tried to put them in an order that created a session that built up the vibe upon each track.

It starts off with the original mix of Sunstroke - A totally laid back drum & bass tune that seems to fit perfectly with Footprints. From there we are taken to tracks like Lost you somewhere, Strong in Love, Saltwater and Don't give it up, before raising it up to tracks like Honey (A rare Billy Ray Martin remix) and finishing it off to the absolute blinder, Halcyon, probably my favourite track of the lot.

Even listening to it now makes me think of summer. It's a great mix to have playing whilst at a bbq, a party or just chilling in the garden. Served best, with beer!
