Hamish Blakely is a British pop artist with a touch of Irish blood that has been dedicated to creating highly sophisticated pieces bucolic environment, achieving an atmosphere that cleverly a special sense of the narrative.
His works always go back to a time distant and undefined, imbued with a sense of romance and excitement recently staged by images of dance, creating a hybrid between tango and flamenco, using its special expressiveness.
Hamish Blakely studied at Wimbledon School of Art, Kingston University, receiving a national award received shortly after.
Having stubbornly lived in the world of black and white, finally caught up with the paint. His first work was at age 18. It was a portrait of his father, and was the moment when he realized he could be good at it.

Just out of college he became a successful and award-winning illustrator who knows that at times addressing a limited range of issues is the key that leads to success.
Noting his work can not fail to refer to the Argentine tango and Spanish flamenco. The strength, the pose and the clothing we very far from their beloved British Isles, as well as to the mouth of the creek where cobbled streets between the couples dance to twilight, or Andalusian tablados full of palms and hormones.
