Raï ! Raï ! Raï ! s'intéresse à 2 grandes figures de la musique algérienne : Cheikha Rabia, maîtresse de raï traditionnel, et Bellemou créateur du raï moderne. Les concerts sont filmés en plans très serrés, déconnectant les interprètes de leur environnement et mettant ainsi l'accent sur la performance individuelle de chaque musicien et danseur. Le jeu des couleurs et des formes, réinventé au cours d'un montage très rythmé, renforce l'effet de transe hypnotique déjà produit par la musique.

Raï ! Raï ! Raï ! focuses on two major figures in Algerian music: Cheikha Rabia, the master of traditional raï, and Bellemou, the creator of modern raï. The concerts were filmed very close-up, disconnecting the singers from their environment, thus accentuating the individual performance of each musician and dancer. Reinventing the play on colors and shapes through a highly rhythmical edit reinforces the hypnotic trance effect the music already produces. Wide-angle shots of the Parisian suburbs are inserted into concert images as a backdrop to Cheikha Rabia's and Bellemou's discourse on raï and the filmmaker's short texts on the suburb's festival and immigrants.
