DESCRIPTION:
Another 'sketch' from "The Juniper Tree." I call them sketches because as the chapters unfold, words and sounds may change. For now, I'd prefer to keep much of the context of these songs under wraps, but I will say this about the project: although the songs are being sung by the actual characters, I am writing with empathy; that is, much of what the characters go through I have drawn from personal experience. Soon, I'll have enough written to do a much overdue |thinkthought|.

Kinda figured you would go for the root, take it

or if you'd rather you can open a vein in the
Juniper Tree
let it run into the echoing earth in a
syrup of sound
maybe later if you wanna return i could
come back around

might even build a home
or get a pet
and teach him how to love
like we couldn't
