Elvis Costello, Cyndi Lauper, The Buzzcocks, Missy Elliot, Devo....all wrote singles about the magical art of onanism. Or 'wanking' to those without instant google access. As purile as it may seem, delving deeply into this topic has paid off with some timeless music. Not ones to shy away from such complicated themes -- Cardiff's Exit_International will release their own paean to self-love -- 'Chainsaw Song' -- picked up by BBC Radio 1 for a week of prime-time airplay from the likes of Fearne Cotton and Greg James in February.

Coming out of the traps like a bastard son of T-Rex, Nine Inch Nails, Soulwax and The Pixies -- 'Chainsaw Song' has become a live favourite of the cult of E_I -- Possibly the best way of easing oneself into the rest of the band's recent debut album 'Black Junk' -- which made many independent 'Album of the Year' lists of 2011 -- Including a top three appearance in Alternative Press's Editor-in chief Jason Pettigrew's personal picks.

The release is backed with an exclusive re-recording of 'Black Junk's opening assault 'Glory Horn' -- this time with added guitar and vocals from E_I Fan and friend Ginger Wildheart. Exclusive new material appears in the form of 'Queen Of The Flunkies' and 'Widowmaker'.

Exit_International have risen from obscurity to being heralded as 'ones to watch' in the UK and the US, with resulting (P.A. destroying) appearances on the BBC Introducing Stage at Reading and Leeds, 2000 Trees, Guilfest, Leopallooza, Merthyr Rock festivals and sessions recorded for BBC Radio 1 Introducing - including their (now) infamous cover of Nirvana's 'Territorial Pissings'.

Whilst tours with Ginger Wildheart, Hawk Eyes, Monster Magnet, Blitz Kids, and hand-picked dates with Kids In Glasshouses, Pulled Apart By Horses and The Bronx, spread the carnage of the E_I live performance, 'Black Junk' propells the audio carnage into your very own bedroom with it's limitless duel-bass fronted noise-rock.
