Our Ceasing Voice - Some words about "That Day Last November" - Video
PUBLISHED:  Dec 23, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
Hey guys,

On January 18th 2013 we will release our new album 'That Day Last November.' Some close friends have heard it already, the moment these words are published you might have heard the first single too. Now, we'd like to show our appreciation of your support and let you know a few things.

It's amazing to see our music spread around the globe - we sent CDs & vinyl almost everywhere. This makes us proud and you wouldn't believe how grateful we are for this. When we first released the 'Steadied Stars In The Morphium Sky EP', we didn't think we could reach so many people and Our Ceasing Voice could become what it is now.
We started this band in 2006, out of the sole desire to make music, because we love music. No clue about how to play an instrument, there were some people in the basement trying to make a record they'd like to listen too. Even though the band's line up has changed several times since then, not much has changed about that aspect: 'That Day Last November' is the album each one of us would love to listen to. We believe strongly in everything that we put out and wouldn't have it in any other way.

We are huge supporters of the internet culture and believe that the internet has given bands like us a chance to be heard. In the past, we gave away all our music for you to download for free. But at this point in our lives, we can't afford to do this anymore.
Some of you may know how much effort has to be put in recording an album. It's countless hours of writing, recording and mixing. This requires quite some money: instruments, hard- and software, microphones, etc. Also, the home of our band will always be a little town in Tyrol, Austria. But with the addition of Eyup in Vienna on Bass, Markus moving to Linz and Sebastian to Innsbruck, the band is now spread all over Austria. This means that even rehearsing has become harder and cost intensive for us. We're all students who make a living doing side jobs and music has always been the passion we fill our spare time with.

These circumstances have lead us to a decision that was not easy to make:
First off: If you can, please purchase the physical releases of this record. Frontal Noize, Truelove Entertainment and Revolvermann Records are releasing this with as much passion for the album as we do. If you're not the vinyl or CD kinda guy - which is understandable in this digital world - you can download the new album for 3€ on our Bandcamp. Some say, music is not worth what it was anymore, but your support - no matter how small or big - will help us make music and tour to come play for you. For 8 tracks, we don't want to charge the regular 99 Cents per track. And we don't want to prevent you from checking out the album before making a purchase.

Especially since 'That Day Last November' is not the record that some of you expect. It's different, yet sounds like us. It refuses to be Post-Rock, as much as it's embracing the genre. It's tragic and dark, as much as it carries beauty in it. We felt the need to change things up a bit and what came out of this creative process is an album we love and believe in. Following our hearts made it what it is. And we hope that you like 'That Day Last November' as much as we do. That the atmosphere punches you in the throat and comes back begging for an apology - like it did with us. That it feels like meeting an old friend of yours. Someone you haven't seen in years. And even though you can clearly tell how much your friend has changed, you still see all the qualities you loved about him or her.

We are really looking forward to seeing you on tour in February and March. For this tour, we have another announcement to make as well: Our Ceasing Voice has now become a fieve piece band. In order to be able to play our new songs the way we want them to, Flo will help us out with guitars, synths and violin. We're glad to have him aboard!
