Welcome to another installment of 100+ "standard" pieces that will comprise our MARIMBA LITERATURE LIBRARY - recorded by some of the most talented young percussionists in the country.

In this new series of videos, we will feature the students from The Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University performing all 20 of Bart Quartier's "Image: 20 Children's Songs for Marimba".

We're confident that the performances in this project will become an essential reference that ALL young students should study while learning the important pieces in the marimba repertoire!

ABOUT THE BOOK:
Bart Quartier's Image: 20 Children's Songs for Marimba is a great collection of songs written specifically for the young, learning marimbist. Each song helps build the basic techniques of 4-mallet marimba playing and will also help to build reading "chops". This collection is a great starting point in solo marimba literature.
