Knightmare - What It's Worth - Video
PUBLISHED:  Nov 26, 2011
DESCRIPTION:
Performing at the NC METALFEST 2011 in Wilson, NC on Saturday October 8, 2011.

A long time ago in a basement in Cary, North Carolina, three guys, Anthony Micale, Jared Mountz and Reid Rogers began writing and playing music. They got their first guitars at the tender age of 13.

After three miserable years of failed attempts of forming a band, former guitar player of Hayvyn, Justin Travis joined the band as their new drummer.

The band began playing their favorite metal music; the likes of Iron Maiden, Ozzy Osbourne and Alice in Chains. They began writing new songs, including "What Its Worth".

After a few small shows, they found themselves still in the basement. Then along came a spider. Well, not a spider. Guitarist Brian Tisdale whom added a punk influence and steady picking hand. Tisdale brought the discipline and experience the other four lacked.

Relocating their equipment to Travis's garage in Raleigh, NC, they played a few more shows. Tired of playing cover music, Knightmare began writing their own material. On a sunny afternoon, Micale and Rogers wrote "The Last Revelation". Once the song was complete, an avalanche of ideas and inspiration transformed Knightmare to what it came to be. Years of practice, hard work, trial and error, and intense dedication to their dreams, Knightmare finally got it right. The rest fell into place. Knightmare is ready to melt your face and take you on an epic journey into the good metal.

What It's Worth lyrics...

Thunder and lightning ignite the midnight sky
Your thoughts are twisted as sanity passes by
You hear the ringing of death's hypnotic bell
Of everything you've seen, this place is truly Hell

Pick up your swords and shields and get up off the dirt
For all our struggles, can you tell me what its worth?
Can you tell me what its worth

You see the enemies who fall before your blade
As their numbers, begin to fade
This fearless army, you've shown them their defeat
This ruthless enemy, who trembles at your feet

Pick up your swords and shields and get up off the dirt
For all our struggles, can you tell me what its worth?
Can ya tell me what its worth?
