BIOGRAPHY OF

CAROLINA MISKOVSKY



"Carolina Miskovsky" was born in a small village called Vännfors a couple of miles from the city Umeå in the north of Sweden in 1978.



Both of her parents were really interested in music, so it was a natural part of her everyday life. She grew up to the music of Stevie Wonder, ELO, Supertramp and other great artists and bands. In the country she enjoyed playing tennis, hockey, swimming and skiing, but most of her time was spent singing, playing music and dancing.



When Carolina was nine years old she and her family moved to Umeå. In her new class some girls founded a band and they needed a guitar-player. She was delighted! So she started to play electric-guitar more seriously and soon she became a member of the band. They called themselves "X-plain". They played together throughout the whole time at school and they are still her best friends.



After a couple of years of playing with her band she and her older sister got the idea to form a duo since they were both playing and singing actively in separate bands. The name of the band was "Honey Kings" (Honung Konung), and they became very popular in northern Sweden. This band gave them great routine and an invaluable opportunity to play live.



After college she started to make a living as a musician touring with her duo and the new girl-band "Snail" that she also formed with her sister. They played in different ski-resorts so they could snowboard at the same time. Business and pleasure!



After some years on tour she felt her passion for natural science calling, so she studied at "Luleå Technical University" and became a rock-engineer.



On her free-time she was writing music and got herself a publishing-deal with "Warner Chappell Music". During that time she was playing with two guys from Umeå. Per Mikaelsson, drums and Rickard Frohm, Piano) and they became her partners in crime. Carolinas publishing-company gave her the opportunity to meet other songwriters and write music new music together with them. By doing that she learned a lot about the secrets of songwriting.



Some of the songs she made then are included in her album, Silence.



Although Carolina enjoyed her experience at the record company she couldn't let go of her wish to sit behind the wheel and record the way she wanted it to sound. The idea of a record-company of her own was starting to take form. By starting her own business she also could work more from her hometown Umeå and sign up local artists. In October -04 she formed her new company, Baltic Records together with a real-estate-company in Umeå. The company is run by Carolina and "Staffan Ling"



In February-05 she began recording with her band and a fantastic producer "Andreas Ahlenius" (Saybia, Di Leva) from Gävle.

Two of the songs were produced by Martin Von Schmalensee.



She released the album Silence in November -05.



After 18 years of singing, playing and writing the timing was right for Carolina Miskovsky, and she finally got to do a record the way she wanted it.



Now shes touring with Marcuz Granberg, a relly talented guitar player and singer
