DESCRIPTION:
When I got this it wasnt very playable. The frets were really worn so I got it refretted. I did a few mods to get it where I needed it to be. Early patent number pickup in bridge (basically paf with shorter magnet) was in neck position so I put in bridge postion. Also I put clear nail polish on saddles to eliminate rattles. I think the extra zing added by the "mapleflame" mod (stainless steel bridge post) helped even out all the deadening I did. Be careful when unscrewing old brass bridge post as they break and its a nightmare to pull them out of a nice guitar! I also drilled post an xtra 1/4 to half inch in body dont go too far! I love this thing now. EDIT: I ended up pulling out the foam wedged under bridge as it made the clean a little dull. Carol Ann triptik 50 head which is also incredible with matching EVM12L cab. Low volume. Stuffy nose. EDIT Ive started to like the sound of the lyre tailpiece. It has its own unique sound. Its very airy. Tried a few different bridges but the original sings the best. I ruined the non T-Top pickup by pulling bridge off and the solder snagged a wind ouch! I have a wcr godwood now and sounds great. Ill leave it alone and let it be what it is. I think the early angus sound was a lyre tailpiece. When you bend a high string the low kind of drop out of tune a little and I hear that in some acdc
