The 18th release on Ivan Nikusev's OLD SQL Recordings imprint comes from Haroun Omar. The Denver, Colorado based producer is making his debut on OLD SQL after appearances on Mistique Digital, Deepsessions and Carica Deep. His new single is entitled 'Trippin On Chords' and comes with a top notch pair of remixes from: Aggressor and Psychowsky.

Haroun's original mix kicks off with some big sweeps, huge bass stabs and some nice rattling percussion. A wispy female vocal sample soon enters the picture along with a bubbly synth line that sounds absolutely magical. The complex wavering synth warps and twists its way through the heart of the track where a massive build reveals the main break. Here the vocal elements get expanded on and the tension builds to a huge crescendo with gated vocals and the twisted synth taking centre stage. Massive original from Haroun! Aggressor who has been somewhat quiet of late provides the first remix of 'Trippin' on Chords'. The Macedonian producer has outdone himself once again with an interpretation that just builds and builds. He's brought a much funkier, refined and more modern feel to the composition with its sweeping, glacial sounding melodies and shimmering breakdown all while keeping the vibe cool and understated. Top rework from Aggressor. Closing the package out is the Greek producer Psychowsky who is well known for his huge progressive trance productions on labels like Lowbit, Mistique and Deepsessions. For his 'Trippin On Chords' remix Psychowsky has delivered a top notch progressive house interpretation that also brings Haroun's more old school sounding original with a new and refreshing twist. The melodies have a wonderful effervescent quality to them and the chugging, spacious bass line creates the ultimate dance floor groove. Certainly one of Psychowsky's best productions to date.
