Calcutta Bubbles are a duet of pubescent, riotous teenagers that produced a bunch of truly amazing dance-italo-house tracks WAY BEFORE they ever got to touch their first boobies. Today, these two electro-nerds almost reached the age of maturity and are ready to conquer the music world. Ladies, keep your panties on.



Vice: Hello Matteo and Michele. How are you guys?
Calcutta Bubbles: Kind of tired. You know, we’ve grown up since the last time we saw each other. Now we go out every night and stay out up untill late. We like to come home and see the sunrise.



Well, quite a few things happened since you used to enjoy milk and cookies. Has this also happened in your music?
We’ve put the net label aside. We realized we can do the stuff on our own, so we’re actually producing new remixes and are working together with a pretty popular Italian singer. As far as our taste changing, we realized that every musical genre has its own thing going on, and that focusing on one thing only is really limiting.



Wait, how old are you now?
Pit is 17. Egg is 18.



You shouldn’t be drinking at your age. Especially not in the afternoon! How are you doing in school?
Mh. Not so good. We don’t really like it. Plus our principal is a psychopath. We believe he’s into some sort of secret society. Once he wanted us to draw a pentacle on the head of a greek statue.



Maybe he’s just into metal.
No, you don’t get it. We’re scared. Like that time that our MySpace page disappeared for two whole days— we’re shitting our pants.



Are you such pussies?
No. Our principal scares us, but other than that we’re fine. Recently we were on stage right after Kap Bambino and it got really late and there wasn’t any train to get home, so we slept at Bologna’s train station surrounded by homeless people. It wasn’t that bad after all. We all stank the same.
