Primera parte del Vol. 15 de los Unmatcheds donde Reynaldo y los Kazoos adaptan al completo el àlbum de Zappa & Mothers - Cruising with the Ruben & The Jets (1968) al castellano. Para la ocasiòn la formaciòn entera de los Kazoos (incluyendo a Luis Prado de Señor Mostaza) se visten de Sha-Na-Na para homenajear un disco en el que se supone que Zappa ironizaba sobre las canciones de amor del doo-wop, gènero que por otro lado amaba tanto como a la mùsica de vanguardia. Los Kazoos, en su linea, obvian la ironìa y se marcan un disco que bien podria acompañar tu copia de Grease en la estanteria (o disco duro o lo que sea que gastes).

THE RETURN OF THE SON OF UNMATCHEDS SERIES

That's right, you heard right! On April 26th we will release not one but TWO new volumes of the infamous Unmatched series. And one of them is a double-CD!

First, a very personal view of the FZ world in the hands of the renowned avant-garde, experimental and multi-instrumentalist extraordinaire A.L. Guillén. Can you imagine The Residents performing FZ music?. Well, forget it, it's nothing to do with that. Or perhaps it has. Truth is, we have no idea how to describe it, but we love it!.

And secondly, a much anticipated new studio release by Caballero Reynaldo & The Grand Kazoo, where the full band performs the Ruben & The Jets album in its entirety in an effort entitled "Marieta y los Jetas" ("Jeta" meaning "cheeky" in slang), all in spanish language. This is a project that started as a Reynaldo solo effort and that eventually became a ridiculously big and expensive one, so we decided to release the original Reynaldo tracks as the second part of this volume, all performed by Luis G. an his marvelous spanglish language.

Both volumes will be available as digital downloads (as three separate records at unmatched.bandcamp.com) and as two CDs in our website, and starting this coming Friday we will start releasing tracks for your listening pleasure and, hopefully, amazement!
