Bruce-jon Brigham "LOST IN AUSTIN" video re-mix of 2/17 "MUSIC CITY SONGWRITERS INTERNATIONAL CAFE" - Video

DESCRIPTION:
My song: "LOST IN AUSTIN" in a video re-mix from the February 6th, 2017 Webcast of the "MUSIC CITY SONGWRITERS INTERNATIONAL CAFE

This song was the first tune & lyric that I wrote when I came to Nashville back in August of 2000. It was based on experiences that I was having in 2001 & 2002 with a long-distance relationship at the time.

In 2016 it seems that I have lived all elements in this song in its entirety.

It was prophetic and I am Nostradamus.

Lyrics:

"LOST IN AUSTIN"

There’s a woman down in Texas,
Having drinks with a Joe in a smoky old bar
Her man is up in Memphis,
Record man’s going to make him a great big star

So how’s he going to take it,
When she lets him go
For a reason, for a doggone reason,
That that man may never see.

There’s a woman getting lost in Austin
And a man going down in Tennessee
Tennessee.
-

You know, back when they were lovers,
Nothing and no one could of stood in their way
Then she saw it in his eyes and there was no disguise,
And he didn’t even need to say

The road has come between them,
Their house just ain’t a home
And this road seems ripe for running,
When a woman needs to roam

So how’s he going to take it,
When she lets him go
For a reason, for a doggone reason,
That the man may never see

There’s a woman getting lost in Austin
And a man going down in Tennessee
Tennessee Tennessee
-

There’s a woman down in Texas,
Having drinks, with a Joe in a smoky old bar
