My comments
My fav BlackHawk, Postmarked Birmingham that song introed me to them.
Felt "Birmingham" right crossover to Mainstream AC,
only Country Ac stations played "Postmarked"
Back in 90's Country & Ac were more harmonious [now not so much]
radio had many versions of AC music.
CountryAc one slice of format wheel [was adult side Country w/o certain elements/ drive Ac listeners to tune out]
like Jazz Ac, the most popular Bright, Hot Ac,
Bright became Lite Rock &
love songs & ballads Soft Rock or SoftAc.
Also Ac friendly were BlackHawk's - Almost A Memory Now, Every Once In A While, There You Have It .

"Brothers of the Southland" was written by James Peterik, Charles Robbins, Henry Paul Iii.
From the hills they came, from backwoods without a name
Carrying their guitars and a heart full of southern soul
Down the dusty roads of Caroline, the Tucker boys were friends of mine
They echoed through the lonely pines, running down the road
And the day the Caldwells died
Before the rugged cross we cried
A voice from deep inside
Said you gotta carry on and on and
We are brothers of the southland, singers in the same band
Spirits on the wind, oh standing on this stage together
Our song goes on forever we're part of Heaven's plan
brothers of the southland
Tattered old revival tent and ragged voices heaven-sent
Singing hallelujah and dancing in the aisles
Ronnie was a barefoot child, an angel's voice and the devil's smile
We only had him for a little while but the world still sings his songs
And the day the Freebird died
Before the rugged cross we cried
The gray ghost he rides
Said you gotta carry on and on and
We are brothers of the southland, singers in the same band
Spirits on the wind, standing on this stage together
Our song goes on forever we're part of Heaven's plan
We're brothers of the southland, brothers of the southland.
And the day Duane Allman died
With Barry Oakley by his side
They took one last midnight ride
We are brothers of the southland, singers in the same band
Spirits on the wind, standing on this stage together
A bridge across forever, we're part of Heaven's plan
We're brothers of the southland.

Multi-platinum-group BLACKHAWK now with Loud & Proud Records, working on
1st studio release in 12 years.
The band (guitarist/vocalist Henry Paul and keyboardist/vocalist Dave Robbins) are currently in
Nashville with co-producer Dale Oliver (Casting Crowns, Steven Curtis Chapman),
putting the finishing touches on their new album Brothers Of The Southland, currently scheduled for a
late spring release.
"Brothers of the Southland is the product of BlackHawk's evolution,"
says Loud & Proud Owner & President Tom Lipsky. "It represents the band through the years and their many hits,
the adversity they faced and Henry and Dave's decision to continue their musical journey together.
BlackHawk's sound remains a beautiful blend of melody and harmony with genuine and purposeful lyrics.
