Broken Winter is different. When you have 5 individuals, with different tastes, styles, and outlooks, coming together to create a cohesive musical unit, it's this kind of music that escapes genre placement that results.



BW recorded their first full-length effort entitled "Face Forward" in July 2004 with Sam Pura (Heavy Heavy Low Low, Normal Like You) and featured the first collection of songs written during the infancy of the band. 2 years later, in March of 2006, BW recorded with Scott Llamas (Facing New York, Locale AM, Love Equals Death). The result of this was the "Before You Hit the Ground" EP, featuring 6 songs, and was a strike forward in musical diversity. Recently, BW has worked again with Mr. Pura on a project (Demo 2007), which features the groundwork for an eventual bigger work. This demo will eventually be available at shows (and possibly by request).
