Hi! Thank you for allowing me to introduce myself to you. My name is Brittaney Starr. I was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV. I would say I am a vegan but my vampire fangs don't seem to allow me to give up the carnivore in me. (although I try). I am a Taurus who is a lefty and extremely passionate about music and literature. I have been singing and writing since I was three years old. I sang in my junior high school and high school choirs and did some soloist work for the theater program as well. Since about the tender age of 10 I have taken a strong interest in poetry in which over the past years I have been able to develop into song writing. I have a single called "Then There Was You" that was written as a poem when I was 12 which is now a song. You can listen to it before it is released on iTunes at myspace.com/brittaneystarrmusic. Ice skating, roller skating, bladeing, Dancing (Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical) light tumbling, light gymnastics, cheerleading, jump rope, and martial arts (Kenpo, Aikido), hiking, mountain biking, and nature are things I take pleasure in other than writing and singing.

I thoroughly enjoy volunteering at the NSPCA and no kill animal sanctuaries and devote my life to somehow making the world a better place for all. Charities I strongly support are the juvenile diabetes research foundation, ONE.org, Battered Women and Children's Centers, Breast Cancer Foundation, Free Speech Coalition, DARE, Easter Seals, and Make a Wish Foundation to name a few.

Some of my biggest influences in music were My Grandmother Dolores(Nana) Rambo who used to sing to me and with me and play piano to me as a little girl; my Grandfather Theodore(papa) Rambo who used to sing for Bugsy Seagal and The Ink Spots; Luther Vandross, Madonna, Queen Latifa, and Paul Oakenfold to name a few. I love R&B and 80's ,90's music, but when I need a pick me up I turn to progressive house, electro, and really fun vocal dance. I am putting out an album called "Counting Starrs" should be released in stores this year 2009. It is a collection of fun and also a look into my heart and soul. My music is like opening a locked piece of me from deep within. A diary of my soul. Sure I have the risqué songs too that are fun to dance to, but if you would take the time to listen to the lyrics of my other songs it will take you into a journey of feelings and experiences throughout my life. I have been lucky enough to work with some extremely talented musicians and producers Like Chris King, Matt Play, Perfecto DJ's, The Count, Christopher Thomas and many other highly respected producers.

Howard Stern did a funny 45minute interview of some experiences in my life and had me to perform my hit single "I Wanna F**K The DJ" (available on ITunes) live on his show that is worth checking out from October 4th 2007. I have also appeared in multiple episodes of the recent (2009) Rock Of Love Bus and Charm school on VH1. . My current passion besides music is DJ-ing. I tested the decks out with Oakey and was instantly hooked. It is my drug of choice to play music and make people feel something in that music. I have performed in many venues including Drais LV, Vice CA, Sheperds Tampa, South By Southwest Austin, Wetgrooves Atlantic City, Prive LV, 40Duece LV, PlanB Afterhours LV, Artisan Afterhours LV, Gypsies (HerBar)LV, Bare Mirage LV, The Pond GVRanch LV, and the list goes on. Music is my main form of expression now and I have come up with some of my best stuff during the most troubled or elated times of my life. Also I have done some extra work on Oceans 11 and Rush Hour II that were filmed in my hometown. My current projects are a new reality show which I cannot disclose at this time (but promise to share details as soon as it airs) and the most amazing international radio show "Brittaney Starr's Galaxy" USA. I have had some amazing guest interviews, live performances, appearances, and DJ's on my show every week. Brittaney Starr's Galaxy has taken you on a different journey through sound and has touched on controversial and emotional issues as well. Thank you for taking time out of your important and busy day to get to know me a little. I look forward to the many great things life has to offer and wish to end with a few quotes that I love: "Take time to smell the roses, live in this moment, laugh out loud, enjoy your personal journey through life, and don't take life too seriously you'll never get out alive."

Love and Thanks to all, Brittaney Starr
