According to Grammy, Dove and Stellar Award nominated artist, Marvin Sapp, "Brian Hurst is one of the most anointed men of our time and destined to change the direction of gospel music." Brian's music is focused on themes of praise and worship, consecration, faith and deliverance. After listening, one will understand why he believes so strongly that God has positioned him in the kingdom for "such a time as this" to minister songs that heal, mend, restore, edify, encourage and destroy yokes. According to Brian, his burden is to usher people into the presence of the Lord while singing not from his ability but under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. His desire is to stand in the gap for the unsaved, to bridge the grap between denominations, to erase the gap between races and to extend the gap between sin and those it seeks to destroy.Brian has been blessed to minister at a number of prominent churches, conventions and concerts throughout the country. He has ministered at Pastor Rod Parsley's World Harvest Church, the International Church of God in Christ convocation's midnight musical, Dr. Bobby Jones' Gospel, Bishop Larry Trotter and Sweet Holy Spirit Full Gospel Church, Pastor Noel Jones' City Of Refuge and many others. Brian placed first in the 2004 "Stellar Awards' Starsearch" in Chicago and continued on to finish third behind Micah Stampley in the national finals held in Houston, Texas. Brian toured in the stageplay, "If These Hips Could Talk", portraying the character of "Mr. Gordon" with Billy Dee Williams,Robin Givens,Tichina Arnold, Kim Burrell and Lexi. The play toured throughout the country for two years and was produced by Angela Barrow-Dunlap of Faith Entertainment, and co-produced by Marvie Wright. Brian also toured the country with the stageplay "Madea Goes to Jail" portraying the character of "Jeramy", written and produced by Tyler Perry. He played the role of the preacher in TBN'S "Madea's Christmas Special" also produced by Tyler Perry. In 2007, Brian released his latest cd project entitled "Divine Purpose".
