Normally you would associate an 8-stringed instrument with the venerable Djent genre. Not so the SS8. Oakland Axe Factory's Tom Drinkwater and I are both fans of clean guitar tones so we figured an 8-string version of a classic would be good fun. And we were right! It sounds incredible, plays like butter and challenges all normal approaches to this type of guitar on account of its multiscale and extra strings. I like something that makes me think outside of my comfort zone.

Tom worked with Kevin Fast at Fast Guitars and Ethan Spaulding at Instrumental Pickups to build this guitar. It is truly a collaborative effort and there are no compromises to the build or sound quality.
