Katherine LaPorta's Masters Recital at the University of Connecticut in 2009, in which she received praise from Libby Larsen on her performance of the composer's "Try Me, Good King Song Cycle":

"I must tell you that I truly enjoyed your performance of Try Me, Good King. The end of Anne Boleyn was chilling—very well done as was your build up in intensity in Anne's voice just before the gallows. And it's not easy to move from Anne Boleyn to Jane Seymour but you did so with grace and elegance—and brava! On the end humming in Jane Seymour, many have tried with less success—yours was perfect! Good use of vocal coloring in Anne of Cleves--very witty. I loved what you did with your acting skills in the middle of Katherine Howard--suddenly you were Katherine Howard and your audience was in the palm of your hand until the end of the song—which was spectacular!"
