BIOGRAPHY 2000-2006

Breakfast is an Italian-Australian musical project formed by the duo Enrico Decolle and Maurice Andiloro.

It was born as an idea at the end of 2000 and by june 2001 their first cd "Breakfast" (Santeria/Audioglobe - Breakfast) was realeased.

The album a unique collection of songs that confine between pop and sixties psichedelia sound, recorded with the same criteria and the analog techniques used in the 60's.

On the record there are many important hosts of the Italian independent scene who were happy to give the band a hand, for example, Cristina Dona', lyrics and vocals on "Ginestre", Giorgio Prette from the Afterhours, played drums on "Dream", Roberta Castoldi and Dario Ciffo from the Afterhours, played cello and violin on "Necessita'" and "Dream", Giovanni Ferrario, played the bass on "3" and Sara Mazo from Scisma, who originally was to take part of the project, writes the lyrics and sings on "Closing Time".

The record collects wide consent among the musical critics and is considered one of the best debut release of that year (info from Mucchio Selvaggio italian music magazine).

Breakfast play some important concerts that year, the highlight is their first participation at the Tora! Tora! Festival and the song "Sometimes Ice Cream" is included in compilation 2002 dedicated to the samefestival.

Breakfast will partecipate this important festival for the following two years (live band: Mauro Kellner, drums; Stefano Vertovese, bass).

In October 2003 Breakfast are once again included in a compilation, this time a tribute to Syd Barrett, produced and released by italian indie label Ovni Records, Breakfast gives their contribution to this project with the interpretation in ten seconds of Barrett's song "The Vegetable Man"! The full length version still remains unreleased!

In February 2004 they produce the remix of "Varanasi Baby" a song written by the Afterhours from Milan and released as a b-side of the Ep "La Gente Sta Male".

After three years from the release of their debut lp the follow up "Ordinary Heroes" (Mescal/Sony) was released in February 2004 (with special musicians and friends: Mauro Kellner, drums; Giorgio Pacorig, keyboards; Max Gelsi, bass; Stefano Vertovese, bass; Dario Ciffo & Roberta Castoldi, strings; and many more). The record was preceded by the first single "Carry On", with it's relative video that was in medium rotation on all the musical channels (in particolar by MTV Italy), where they were interviewed by Frankie Hi NRG during the programme "Brand: New"and where they played an acoustic version of "Out Of Mind", performance that later on became a video in rotation on MTV.

In the October of the same year "Take Me Home" was released as their follow up single.

Once again the related video in got played on the italian music channels and was inserted in the compilation of the Tora! Tora! Festival 2004, at which Breakfast participate live in Milan edition (live band: Mauro Kellner, drums; Giorgio Pacorig, keyboards).

In these two years numerous have been the artistic productions and the collaborations with various artists that Breakfast and in particular Maurice Andiloro as audio engineer have taken part for example: Afterhours, Almamegretta, Articolo 31, Samuele Bersani, Baustelle, Adrian Celentano, Mauro Pagani (whose studio Maurice worked as the in house audio engineer for six years), Roberto Vecchioni, Verdena and many more.

In November 2005 Breakfast produces the soundtrack for the tv commercial of the video game WRC5 for Sony Playstation2, air played in seven countries world wide beyond Italy.
