DESCRIPTION:
Brass band history was made on Saturday 3rd May 2014, at around 10.15 pm in Perth Concert Hall, the ‘home’ of brass bands in Scotland, when for the first time in 37 years of the European Brass Band Championships, a brass band from Switzerland was crowned European Brass Band Champions. Over the years the European Championships has evolved into a wide-ranging Festival of Brass, and, in Perth there was more to entertain and inform the brass band audience then ever before, with a final day devoted to the rising generation of brass band musicians.
