The NOUR EP is a collaboration between juke/footwork adventurer BLK MRKS and award-winning creative art director and designer Radim Malinic [Brand Nu]

During his recent trip to Uganda, Malinic recorded a vast range of moments and encounters in local communities. Focusing on Lake Byunioni and the South-West region of the country, the trip provided an exhilarating selection of chants, local folklore, songs and monologues.

The audio was crafted into four intricate tracks highlighting both the richness and diversity of Ugandan culture, and the vibrancy of the emerging Footwork scene. Each track is quite different in personality but all reflecting an interesting clash of cultures.

The tracks have been remixed by a wide selection of producers from all over the world. Russian Footwork edits, wonky 169bpm remixes and club-ready 130bpm tracks... and more. Expect these on a remix EP in September.

Ndege, the first single from the EP, will be released 13th July 2015.
The four original tracks EP will follow in 27th July 2015.

This project was inspired by the charitable work of Little Big Africa, who provide protected water sources to local people in East Uganda.
