Raj Shah is no stranger to the University of Georgia. He graduated from the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (BS) and the School of Public and International Affairs (MPA) in 2006, and the School of Law in 2010. During his time at the university, Raj worked with the Peace Corps, National 4-H Council, and served on the Executive Board of The Arch Society. When named to the University of Georgia Alumni Association 40 Under 40 Class of 2011, he reflected on his Arch Society experience: "My experience on the Executive Board of The Arch Society was incredibly special to me. It truly defined my college experience and shaped who I am as a person." Raj is now an attorney at the Atlanta-based law firm, Parker, Hudson, Ranier & Dobbs, LLP. He focuses his practice on health care litigation, compliance, licensure, and regulatory matters, and is currently running an innovative wellness program to transform the workplace into a healthy community.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
