This video is meant to be a little funny... enjoy!

A DIY undertone laced with severely distorted A Place To Bury Strangers style fuzzbox distortion, Stellarscope pulse and blast forward on Just Like Flowers off 2009s This Is Who We Are. I see a range of influences listed and they fit right in with Stellarscopes melodic yet dark sound. I am also hearing a heavy Greg Sage And The Wipers influence here. At one point I take my headphones off to let my buddy Dan listen to a bit of Just Like Flowers. His response? yeah, yeah, thats rock and roll, thats some fucking rock and roll right there. Beautifully stated my man.

Stellarscope is a straightforward band with a heaviness to their psychedelic tinged anthems that would make Blue Cheer step back and take notice. Robert DeFlaviis bass is a thick, regurgitating four string snake swallowing an elephant, coupled with Tom Lugo on guitar and vocals. Rounding out this Philidelphia, PA three-piece is Bob Foreman on drums. I am surprised to see only one guitarist in Stellarscope. The sound generated from Lugos axe leads this listener to believe this is a Slipknot, 9 member guitar-only band. Just like flowers slowly wilt away, away Lugo draws it out at near the end of this, being track three off of the ten song This Is Who We Are.

The best thing in the world to me is being introduced to new music that captures exactly what I love about music. This Is Who We Are was placed on my Ipod immediately where it will be on repeat for a long time to come.-Brad Tilbe
