Credited along with Uncle Tupelo with the 90’s revival of alt-country, they merge a riff-heavy punk aesthetic with the hard-working, blue-collar work ethic of Middle America. Frontman Brian Henneman is regarded as a potent storyteller who is capable of gleaning revelations from simple subject matter and authentically personalizing biographical tales.
