Bona5id was born as MATTHEW EDWARDS on December 12, 1986. Set to bridge the seemingly infinite gap between traditional Gospel, contemporary Gospel, and Gospel rap.Bona5id conveys a positive message with an entertaining style. A former gang member, Bona5id never forgot the teaching instilled in him at a very young age by his grandmother. After seeing so much senseless killings in Memphis, Bona5id has embarked on a mission to inform the younger generation that it is the time to make a CHANGE! Bona5id was introduced to Timothy Abram and Yusef Berkley, owners of "Christ 4 Life Productions" And later signed to their label. Christ 4 Life plans to release Bona5id's album, "I'm A Saint" later this year. Bona5id offers the listener what is sorely lacking in most of today's music, a bangin beat and a positive message.
