With releases on Samurai, Shogun, Viper, Uprising, Commercial Suicide, State of Mind Recordings, and now Santoku Records, Trei is obviously no stranger to the Drum & Bass world. The third installment in the Santoku catalogue features two diverse tracks by Trei, one of which is a collaboration with long time compadre Hooves.

'Moonshine' stays true to the New Zealand Jump Up sound and wastes no time getting in to the groove. Starting immediately with a catchy break beat and atmospheric pads that set the mood, the track quickly develops in to a groove oriented crowd pleaser accompanied by a catchy female vocal hook and a mid-line that is not too over the top, leaving the DJ with plenty of room to layer yet strong enough to lead on its own. 'Moonshine' was featured in State of Mind's podcast series "The Next Level" as well as Logam's Studio mix for the Atlanta radio show "Subterranean".

'Body & Sole' starts off with an eerie atmospheric pad followed by textural percussive hits that evolve the track in to a Neurofunk inspired roller. Splashes of delayed vocal stabs and sound effects give the track depth and perfectly support the odd time drum pattern. The Minor key of this track is perfect for maintaining the crowds classic "bass face" during an adrenaline fueled Neurofunk set. 'Body & Sole' was featured on Hospital Records Podcast series as well as Mutated Forms guest mix for KMAG.
