UNDER DESTRUCTION!



BodyBag was formed in 1990 by Jimmy Littlefield, Mike Dexter and Travis Dahmen. After adding Eric Flath on guitar and CJ Mikiten on bass, they set out to destroy the local Portland scene. A scene full of glamrock and really horrible metal, with the exception of a few choice bands. BodyBag graced the town and other cities with their brutal, sickening grinding assault!!



After being in numerous magazines and playing a ton of shows they were offered a few label choices, but none seemed to impress them. So they stuck to worldwide distribution from Relapse, Osmos and Wild Rags & a few others. BodyBag became an underground sensation, with their first two albums: Mutilated Beyond Recognition (1992) & Severed Existence (1993)



In 1994 singer Mike Dexter and bassist CJ Mikiten left the band to pursue other musical interests. Pete Boyd took over on vocals and Charlie Englund handled the bass duties. This line up recorded the CHAOS tracks. To this day those recordings are very rare and are cherished by the fans lucky enough to have a copy.



1995 brought about another change in the line up. Jason Dexter (Demise) took over on bass and Tony Revier (Spawn, Final Solution) replaced Eric on guitar. This line up recorded Pains From Nausea. They played a few shows with the last being Christmas Eve in 1996.



BodyBag has shared the stage with the likes of Morbid Angel, Suffocation, Kreator, Dismember, Vader, Phobia, Poison Idea, Immortal Fate, Autopsy, Six Feet Under, Cathedral, Fear Factory, Everclear (Yes Everclear) And numerous others.
