Alberto "Bobby Soul" De Benedetti lega il suo nome ad alcuni gruppi cult della scena indipendente italiana come le VOCI ATROCI, gruppo accappella dalle vertiginose e bizzarre performance vocali guidato dall'attore musicista Andrea Ceccon, i SENSASCIOU, gruppo che ha contaminato ritmi giamaicani e afro-americani con la tradizione popolare genovese, Cni Music, poi Premio Tenco 1997 e soprattutto BLINDOSBARRA, probabilmente la più importante formazione funk italiana, con 4 CD all'attivo di cui due sotto l'egida della BMG-Ariola e la produzione di Ben Young (Massive Attack) e Carlo Rossi (Jovanotti, 99 Posse fra gli innumerevoli altri).
"Draghirossi & Buchineri" esce nel 2007 per l'etichetta torinese Mo-Beat records capitanata da Josh Sanfelici (Roy Paci & Aretutska) ed è distribuito da CNI Music, Nel 2009 esce il doppio album "73% Phunk"., edito da Inmusica/Cramps
nel 2012 esce il suo nuovo album "Conseguenze del Groove"

Now something about me and my music: my hometown is Genova, a harbour city, tough and sober. I am father of 3 beautiful children. I started as a dj and radio broadcast speaker and I have always been playing and promoting any kind of Black Music (Blues, Jazz, Soul, HipHop) but expecially 70s Funk, which is my fav one. Way back in the early 90's I met some underground musicians in my hometown that introduced me to real music making. From that time I have been singing and playing for some cult bands like Voci Atroci (a bizzarre acapella quintet that recorded two albums for EMI records in the 90s), Sensasciou (a trio blending ragamuffin and soul music with traditional genovese "trallalero" choir, 6 albums for CNI, an Italian indie label focused on World Music), Blindosbarra (considered best italian group performing original funk - 4 albums, 2 of them with BMG-SONY, one of them produced by Ben Young of Massive Attack fame). Along with these recordings came a hot live activity all around Italy and Europe. I think I sang in at least 2.000 venues. In 2007 I recorded my first solo album called "Draghirossi & Buchineri", on indipendent label Mo-beat Records. It contains 18 tracks and it is an heterogeneous trip though all kind of black music oriented styles I have attended throughout these years. All songs are originally written from me except a cover version of "Un uomo che ti ama", by Italian sacred monsters Battisti/Mogol.
