Adolphe Botte : Bluette - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jul 21, 2015
DESCRIPTION:
Phillip Sear plays a quirky short waltz by the French composer and critic Adolphe Botte (1823-93).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The French (my assumption!) composer Adolphe Botte (1823-93) trained (from 1837) as a pianist at the Paris Conservatoire under Pierre Zimmerman. He composed piano music and songs, but is best known as a critic for the 'Revue et gazette musicale de Paris' from 1858-65. This waltz (written sometime before 1872) contains a lot of variety within its short length.
