'Ragged & Dirty' is an old blues tune that was memorably recorded by Blind Lemon Jefferson & Sleepy John Estes in the twenties. Davey Bob first became acquainted with the song after hearing Bob Dylan's version on 'World Gone Wrong' in 1993. Dylan's version was based on the Willie Brown recording from the early forties.
