I have been musically oriented since birth. My mother and father, both also had musical background. It is through music that I can express my Self. It is a way of life for any artist, and I'm no exception. Its been in my blood since I could speak, and you hear it in every single song I've ever written. I consider my self of Latin decent. My mother is from South America Paraguay, and my father from Guadalajara Jalisco Mexico. Latina de corazon. The very first song I ever sang was a song my father wrote. It was written for my sister Alma. And more than singing, I think it was screaming to express the lyrics that I could barely understand my self. I was only three, but then, my parents believed it was cute. (I have it on CD). I dont think they really knew that music soon would be a big part of my life, just like it was a part of theirs. My father taught me some simple chords on the guitar, and soon I was on my way to writing my first song. I was 12 years old with an appetite for love songs. Soon, the Sandoval Family went to sing everywhere. With Mariachi, with guitars, karaoke, you name it. It was there. I sang at charreadas, restaurants, parties, receptions, church, and clubs. You name it. We were there! As time went bye, I was itching for something new. I wanted to have my own type of music, my own flavor, my own feeling! In the process I met the person that would help me accomplish this dream. My best friend and brother in music, Roberto Zamora. As the great guitarist that he is, he took time and patience to understand my ideas, and not only worked with me on them, but respected them. From the moment I wrote and arranged a song, It was musical chemistry! The CD Mi Musica was created.
Later I reconnected with an old friend Mike Juarez, who originally played drums for the Rock band Solomon. More edginess was brought to my music. The edgy style that I had been looking for. Bringing the Metal to the pedal. Around that time I was introduced to the Bass player from Sapo, Oscar Tablada. Never did I think that some years later Oscar Tablada would bring the bass in your face in what is now the band called BLANCA. Now we have the music that identifies our own unique style. It is a blend of every type of music we've heard growing up, and still listen to. ROCK, METAL, HIPHOP, SKA, JAZZ, FUNK, FUSSION and a big Latin influence. From LATIN ROCK, ROCK en Espaol, CUMBIA to SALSA, BOLEROS, RANCHERAS. Its all there, our baby project. I thank God for giving me the talent to write, sing, have these wonderful talented guys by my side, and be alive to share this experience with the world. Through good and bad, music has and will always be my greatest passion. I thank the people that were there through the struggles and didn't give up on me when I could have lost it all. Especially my parents and family who I owe being introduced to what is now a way of life for me. Thank you.
