La Ventana

San Francisco based La Ventana cruise to a Spanish flavored mix of R&B, Soul and Rock all influenced with a Top Percussion section Featuring Tony Flores(Timbales) Joey "Jam" Flores & Bobby Gaviola (Traps) and GaryD (Congas). A 9 member line-up can certainly boost a group's power, but nobody overshadows the other.



La Ventana 2010 features two of the Bay Area's Finest Singers, American Idol Semi Finalist Ashley Mendez and long time Bay Area Singer Jimmy Flores (Avance) on Co-Lead Vocals and also the return of Founding LV Original Founding member Johnny De La Cruz (Lead Guitar) who wrote most of La Ventana's first CD and original music Plus long time LV Drummer Bobby Gavilola (Sapo Original Drummer) and New Edition Joey "Jam Flores (Nu Day, RYZE Band) on Drums gives the band two of the top drummers in the Bay. The Magic is Back!



Some of the Bay Area's Top Musicians (Sapo, Los Mocosos, Broken English, Farenheit 411, Orquestra Borinquin, Orquestra D Soul, Malo, Bobby Womack, Patty Austin) have joined forces with the New 2010 Edition of LV and the Music continues to Explode! La Ventana has raised the bar again over their 5+ year history plus expanded their music to cater to a larger audience. Latin R&B is what they call the music they play which is comprised of old songs with new arrangements, some of LV's first CD songs written by De La Cruz plus new songs from De La Cruz, Mendez and French import Thomas Lavigne.



La Ventana has opened for Santana, Malo, Tierra, War, Joe Bataan, Greg Rollie and Marc Anthony and was voted the Hottest Latin Rock Band in the Bay Area by the "Voices of Latin Rock" and Senior Music Critic for the SF Chronicle Joel Selvin when the band opened the 2007 Voices of Latin Rock Show at Bimbo's with the Original Santana Band and also at the Fox Theater for the Gregg Rolie Band.
