PUBLISHED:  Nov 03, 2014
DESCRIPTION:
After having spent almost 20 years working with Ronnie Hawkins, Robbie Lane and the Disciples, The Five Rogues, Mandala, Bush, James Gang, The Guess Who and the Domenic Troiano Band, Domenic Troiano (1946-2005) re-emerged in late 1980 with Black Market, a no frills power trio featuring Troiano, Bob Wilson and Paul DeLong. The group's debut album was issued on El Mocambo Records in 1981. It was engineered by the late Mike Jones. The video features Paul DeLong on drums and Howard Ayee on bass.
Domenic became known as a guitar gunslinger in the 60’s and 70’s as he replaced the likes of Robbie Robertson (Ronnie Hawkins), Joe Walsh (James Gang) and Randy Bachman (Guess Who) and as well he was highly sought after as a session guitarist by many prominent bands and music producers.
RIP--Domenic
