DESCRIPTION:
JHS '73 Ram's Head Fuzz White/Red

The 73 Rams Head, built in Manhattan, NY, gets its name from the old EHX logo that was on the Big Muffs from this era. It's most famous user was David Gilmour who religiously used it with Pink Floyd and on his solo recordings. Solos like Comfortably Numb from The Wall and many more from that time on, including Animals, The Final Cut, Momentary Lapse Of Reason, Division Bell and so on. Overall the Rams Head has a bit less gain and a pronounced mid scoop. Our replica uses 5088 Transistors just like the original 73 Rams Head that we own and love. If you love distortion and/or fuzz, you will find many uses for this extremely classic sound that can only be found in the Rams Head Big Muff.
