Biodub is a german musician, producer and DJ. He defines his music as a combination of techno, dub and electronica that is equally comfortable on the dancefloor as in the living room.

In recent years he released music on labels like Ki Records, Tiefenrausch ,Samuvar ltd., KanuKanu and Pronounce. His debut album "Reisegefaehrte" was highly acclaimed by an international audience and was supported by Troy Pierce, Patrick Lindsey, Osunlade, Anton Zap, Nooncat and Pawas, to name just a few.

Biodub founded his first band at the early age of thirteen. Since that time he has regularly performed on stage. Originally a drummer he also learned to play guitar and keyboards over the years. Presently, he is drummer in the instrumentalband "Noetics"(State Of The Art Records), that already played with bands like "The Original Funky Drummers" of James Brown, the pioneers in electronic music "Tangerine Dream", the hippie legends "Ten Years After" or the 90s Downbeat and Dub Highlight "Sofa Surfers".

Since 2000, he is active as DJ. He already spinned records together with DJs like Sven Vath, Ken Ishi and Kit Clayton. Under the alias "path" he is resident-DJ at numerous clubs in his hometown, Hannover, where he supported acts like LTJ Bukem, Eddie Piller (founder of the Acid Jazz label with Giles Peterson), Rainer Truby and Oliver Korthals (founder of the legendary Mojo Club).

Along with DJ-ing came his desire for producing electronic music.

In his tracks Biodub tries to transform visual impressions into music. He finds most of these impressions in nature but sometimes also in machines or buildings in connection with their environment. Based on a minimalistic foundation, his tracks are playful in a microscopical way. In between deep basslines and characteristic dub chords, various sounds coming from field recording sessions and sometimes also acoustic instruments come up, making his music extremely warm and alive.

Biodubs DJ-sets are eclectic but always coherent through the deepness of all tracks. In the sets aiming on the dancefloor, there is a clear preference for a straight bassdrum between deep basslines and chords. In his more relaxed sets, Biodub loves to combinate different genres like Dubhouse, IDM, Ambient-Techno, Post-Dubstep and Downbeats.

Biodubs live-sets convinced the audience on festivals and clubs across Europe with new variations of his own productions and unpredictable moments of live improvisation.

Deepfields:

Szoba Studio has launched its party series Deepfields in 2012, in Budapest, Hungary.

The first 4 events took place at Cokxpon Chill Cafe and then it moved to its new home base Muszi, on the third floor of Corvin Aruhaz at Blaha Lujza Square. The main musical direction is Deephouse, but Dubtechno as a mood is also close to its philosophy.

Deepfields features include spectacular visuals enchanced with multiple projectors and slides.
