DESCRIPTION:
Billy Mayerl is best known as a composer of novelty piano pieces, but he also made quite a few arrangements, which are less well-known. Here is a 1950 arrangement of a 1946 piece by the Dutch pianist and Hammond organist Guus Jansen (c1911-1990), who went on to write the music for "Net als toen" ("Just like then") - the winning Dutch entry for the 1957 Eurovision Song Contest.
